Welcome to the Cheshire Branch of the SLCC. The Society of Local Council Clerks is the professional body for local council clerks and senior council employees. Its membership is steadily growing and now represents clerks to over 5,000 councils in England and Wales. The Cheshire Branch is one of a number of county branches supporting its members.
Your Society’s vision statement:
“To provide training, guidance, advice and support to members so that they can develop the professional skills, knowledge and experience necessary for them to best serve their councils and communities; and through this develop the overall recognition and status of their profession”.
About the Branch
The Branch is part of the Society of Local Council Clerks and provides a local support and training network for its members. Your Branch holds a number of branch meetings throughout the year and works with the Cheshire Association of Local Councils on furthering the standing of local councils and their chief officers.
